Coalition of Inclusion Advocates
Founded in 2008
The Coalition of Inclusion Advocates (CIA) is a cross-disability coalition of individuals associated with disability advocacy organizations. CIA members joined together in 2008 to draw attention to the stigmatizing and devaluing attitudes that lead to the lack of inclusion of students with disabilities in the Pennsylvania public schools system, further hindering their opportunities for social growth and reinforcing negative stereotypes towards people with disabilities.
